PLAYMAKERS LAB

Modeled after the 52nd Street Project in New York City, PLAYMAKERS LAB is a designed as a 2 week (10 day) full-day program that gives aspiring young theatre artists (TA) an introduction to the art of storytelling, character development, and playwriting in the first week, and directing, designing, and marketing for theatre in the second week. The lab culminates in a staged reading of the TA's original play.

This lab has also been adapted for single sessions over the course of a month.

PLAYMAKERS LAB is best for ages 9 and up.

STORYMAKERS LAB

STORYMAKERS LAB is a designed as a 1 week (5 days) half-day program that gives aspiring young filmmakers (TAs) an introduction to the art of storytelling, character development, screenwriting, and filmmaking. Participants make their own puppet for their story's character, and even get to supply the voice for their character. The lab culminates in a digital short film of their story.

STORYMAKRS LAB is best for ages 5-8

PUPPETMAKERS LAB

PUPPETMAKERS LAB is designed as a 1 week (5 day) half-day program that gives participants an introduction to the art of puppet design and construction, storytelling, and puppeteering. In the beginning of the week, participants design and make their own "Snoof," based on the puppets and story by Adam Kreutinger. By midweek, a story is devised based on the Snoof creations, and the lab culminates in a filmed puppet show that showcases the Snoofs and an original devised story!
